其实他和她在同一家公司，只是不同部门，中间隔着八百张桌子。但是，他每天对她魂牵梦系，看到她的背影都暗自欢喜。如此这般好几天，他天天都绞尽脑汁设计着该如何跟她认识，但是看见她经过身边的时候却又没有勇气跟她说话。
时隔多日，他仍沉浸在懊悔之中：“当时真应该假装撞她一下，就可以留电话了......”
我笑他：“你就不能高明一点吗，整点那不俗的。”
他说：“比如什么呢？”

比如前天我看的这部电影《睡眠的科学》里的他和她。

内向敏感的他遇到了同样内向敏感的她，互生好感。两人虽是门对门的邻居，抬头不见低头见，却又都不知道该如何表达。那么，他们是怎么勾搭上的呢......？

认识的那天，他自我介绍说：“我给挂历画插画。不过我的理想是当一个发明家。”说着他从包里掏出了一幅红红绿绿的眼镜递给她，“戴上它你的生活就全都是3D的了。”
她：“难道我们的生活本来不是3D的吗？”
他：“是，不过...你试试就知道了......”
(他先是把她的眼睛蒙上，告诉她：世界还是那个世界，可是有了我你所看到的都会因此而变得不一样。)
他说：“你知道吗，发明3D的那个人普尔弗里希只有一只眼睛，就像贝多芬和它的音乐一样......”
(心底里他应该是自卑的。他觉得自己和普尔弗里希和贝多芬一样，是有残疾的。可是他希望自己和他们一样伟大)

她的钢琴上摆着一匹布头做的小马，他一下子愣住了。那小马穿着灰色棉袄，眼睛是两颗白色的扣子，头发和尾巴都是白色的毛线做的。
他问：“你自己做的吗？”他一下子就喜欢上了那小马，却不知道此时此刻其实自己已经开始喜欢她。
她说：“不，我收养的。我看到它的时候它很悲伤，我不得不把它带回来，给它一个家。”
“现在，它再也不会离开我了。”她又不无骄傲地补充说。
他说：“是吗？我知道你是它妈妈。不过你是否应该也考虑一下他的想法？”
然后她和他都笑了。
(实际上，他自己就是因为父亲刚刚去世，他被妈妈骗回法国。所以他觉得自己就是那匹被她收养的小马。他爱他的妈妈，可是为了妈妈做着自己不喜欢的工作，总觉得有点委屈。)
她的回答是：“它已经受过伤了。我不能再冒险了。”
(她是在说她自己吧。)

......
她拿起一只白色的小船准备放到书架上。她说，“这是我用帆布做的。我正准备再做一些小树当布景，这样，好像小船驶在森林里寻找它的大海妈妈。”
他说：“不如把森林放在小船里吧......”
他忽然兴奋地提议：“我去拿相机，我们拍一个动画片吧。装着森林的小船出海去找它的妈妈......”
这下她也眼前一亮：“好啊。我们可以让树上长出叶子，然后又被风吹跑了......这时候小船就出海了......我来负责小树，你负责大海！”
于是，他找来了白色透明的玻璃糖纸做海水。
而空中的白云是她抛向天花板的一团团棉花。
(我很久没有见过这么美丽的大海和白云了。生活中的我和我遇到的那些他都在各自的小船里装了太多的东西，再也装不下森林，早已搁浅无法出海了。)
他迫不及待地准备飞奔回家去取更多的道具。可是她说：“不着急，下一次再继续。你给我点时间先让我做好小船和小树吧。 ”
临走的时候，他站在门口很久都没有勇气告诉她，其实他就住在对门。
(他恐怕还没有勇气面对她。他没有意识到自己和她一样需要做好准备才出发。)

......
当夜他在浴缸里睡着了，朦朦胧胧中梦到自己写信给她。信里说：“我对白天的事情感到很困惑，其实我对你撒了谎......顺便问一句，你有那谁谁谁的电话吗？”
(他拼命想抑制住自己喜欢她的想法。他其实并不想要那谁谁谁的电话。他只不过是不想表现得那么在意她。)
醒来他却发现自己的脚印从浴室一路淋湿到她的门口。惊慌失措中，他立刻找来一个钩子把自己的信从门缝里钩了出来。
谁知道这时其实她被吵醒了，而且已经看过信了。她从门背后看到他赤裸裸地站在门外把信塞进门缝，然后又眼睁睁地看着他把信钩回去了。
(她看了信当然很失望。原来他不过是跟她说笑的。她开始相信他并不真心喜欢她。)

......
直到故事的结尾，他仍然都不敢跟她表白，并且决定离开这座城市。临走的时候，他在妈妈的逼迫下来到对门跟她告别。他还是什么都说不出口，但是却忽然之间像耍赖一样爬到她的床上不动了。
她见到他像一个小孩子一样的任性，觉得自己就快被他折磨疯了。于是她含着泪问他：“为什么是我？为什么？……”
他终于无奈地说：“其他人都很无聊，只有你是特别的。”
就在这时候，他抬头看到了她床头做好的那艘小船和那片森林……他终于知道了他自己有多么傻。

终于，他们骑着小马，穿过森林，小船载着他们在玻璃纸做的大海里乘风破浪，天上挂着朵朵棉花。
......

其实这部电影没有什么情节，讲的只不过是一段简单的爱情如何逃过了我们每天对自己潜意识的谋杀。

没错，我们每天都在谋杀。大家都在谋杀。我们明明心里喜欢，却非要用各种理由来扼杀它——年龄职位收入等等一切现实中的距离、虚荣心自尊心自卑心理、道德标准、甚至你爱恋的对象无意间说的某一句话。

我们的心里早已失去了一片绿荫，剩下的恐怕只有焦灼和无奈了。爱情的萌芽还没有来得及长出来被外界的障碍砍伐掉就已经先让我们自己在心底给掐死了......

我对我那个哥们说：“喜欢就赶快行动啊。”
他说：“我还是需要机会的。下班的机会。被同事看到了真的不好......”
我点点头：“嗯。先打听清楚。不要踩了雷啊，万一是老板的小蜜呢。”

哎，到底是现实不够美好还是我们的心已经不再浪漫了呢？！

Michel Gondry颇有几分史云梅耶衣钵弟子的味道，硬纸板、布偶和各种恋物主义小玩意儿用得相当到位，定格动画的技法也娴熟有加。或者将他与老史并论，就像拿青春期男生比离异中年男一样不靠谱 - 骨子里并不暗黑，弗洛伊德式情欲同样缺席，叙事几无暴戾之气，而是洋溢着法国人一脉相承的温情脉脉，和那种十分精美的，对生活的淡淡绝望。比如那个年历，拿重大灾难做主题插图，“每个月份都有自己的灾难”，用鲜嫩水彩绘画死亡，真正是孩子才能有的创意。也许是因为少了极权背景，或根本就是两种完全不同的电影。

最后最后，Stephane说，只要你开口，我就不回墨西哥。Stephanie流泪，喊出声，你想要我怎样，你想要我怎样。Stephane沉默，爬上床，抱着绒布小白船，蜷成母体里的胎儿，Stephanie贴着他背后躺下，轻轻抚摸他的头发，同样一言不发。二人共骑玩具马，穿过朵朵棉花白云，飘飘欲仙，跃上绒布船，和船上找妈妈的森林一起，在蓝白塑料彩纸的海上远去消失。黑屏，字幕，梦仍继续，电影完在这里，迷人而残忍。醒来以后如何，千万别想。

还有那些甜蜜的令人心碎的，Stephane的求爱台词：Will you marry me when you are seventy and have nothing to lose? 以及I like your boobs. They're simple and unpretentious.

开场台词也不可不译：

很棒的一部电影。Michel Gondry大有把魔幻爱情进行下去的勇气。和上一部【王牌冤家】相似，【科学睡眠】也是触及美妙恋情和各种荒诞魔幻，笑中有泪。
Michel Gondry本身的作品构思并没有考夫曼那般精巧而经得起推敲，但是它的荒诞更加随性而至，着墨处妙笔生花，有许多精彩绝伦的点子。例如男主人公的时光倒流机器，大脑中的演播室，Michel Gondry的编剧思维正好有点像主人公一般天马行空五花八门，更有许多诸如男主人公般浪漫的臆想，二人合二为一。
非常美妙的成人童话。也可当做一场梦来看！

People think it's a very simple and easy process but it's a bit more complicated than that. As you can see, a very delicate combination of complex ingredients is the key. 这个月在神差鬼使中竟然不知情的看了两部Michel Gondry导演的电影，Jim Carrey，Kate Winslet主演的《暖暖内含光》（ Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind，2004）和Gael García Bernal，Charlotte Gainsbourg主演的《科学睡眠 》（The Science Of Sleep，2006）。

尽管表面上看起来两部影片要表达的东西有些迥异，但是静下心来一想，共同的主题都是爱情，共同的故事线索都是男主角的大脑活动，共同的元素是各种各样看起来很山寨很蹩脚的科学仪器，而共同的效果就是让观众无法在影片进行到1/2之前搞清楚所有的线索和逻辑（反应比较迟钝的人可能要到3/4了）。

或许因为场景的诡异，看完之后往往是好一番回味才回过神来，如某人所说，感觉到了如温热的法国奶酪般的喜爱。看了一下评论，才发觉《科学睡眠》里无比眼熟的男演员，竟然是《爱情是狗娘》里面那个内向却也暴戾的弟弟。他太擅长表现这种表面木讷，内里丰富过了头近乎神经质的角色。在《科学睡眠》里扮演一个在英国长大的年轻人，一套猩红色的小号收身西装走在巴黎街道上，河岸边，粼粼的波光是我印象最深刻的镜头了。

想象的突出地位首先表现为使生活本身进入艺术品，进入欣赏的渴望。

这是导演米歇尔·甘德瑞继《暖暖内含光》之后的又一部令人匪夷所思的电影，又一部区别于好莱坞叙事规则的徘徊于现实与梦境之间的独特电影，上一部《暖暖内含光》让吉姆凯瑞不用再张牙舞爪也能演一次严肃的电影，而电影中关于记忆的消除与对于真爱的守护之间的逃脱与追捕的巧妙的构思实在令人拍案惊奇，无论从叙事的巧妙与电影镜头的超现实场景，这部电影都当之无愧是当年的奥斯卡的最佳剧本。

在这个技术至上的时代，人的存在日渐变得模糊起来，在尚未认清自己存在的本质之前，技术时代汹涌而来的对于技术理性的崇拜，科学发明对于现实日常生活的影响已经开始对于我们正常人性的改造工作了，假如人可以连记忆都随意消除，那么他生命存在的证据又在何处寻找，假如连生命痕迹都无处寻找的话，那么人类的生存本身就是值得怀疑的，假如这整个世界都被一种虚无主义包围，那么生存的意义又在哪里呢？或许不断的对于生存意义的赋予是一种虚无缥缈的乌托邦，却是我们得以继续生存的强大动力，自然是有目的的存在，生命是向善的，学者约纳斯说，生命通过对自身的执着而认可自己。

然而就如同电影中的主人公史蒂芬一样，生活往往是无从选择的，当我们有一天开始回溯自己性格内向不善言辞的成因时，我们往往当时已惘然，弗洛依德告诉我们童年生活伤害的影响在如今的生活依旧投下巨大的阴影，可父亲母亲早就已经不再能肩负起我们成长过程的一切责任，混乱而恐怖的生活的合力促成了我们今天的自己。原本以为是一份充满着挑战与创造性的工作原来只需要贴贴日历上寄来裸体者照片名字的简单而琐碎机械的工作。整天焦头烂额得忙碌，几乎对于所有人而言命运就是如此，而缺乏行动力与掌控力的卑琐人生究竟救赎在何处呢？在电影中这似乎并不是一个沉重而压抑的命题，它伴随着主人公充满孩子气的想象力与奇妙爱情历程所带来的轻松被消解得稀薄的如同一丝烟尘，这世界的平庸人生，似乎变得并没有那么苦大仇深。

弗洛依德认为文学就是白日梦，麦茨认为看电影是一种浅度睡眠，比梦境清醒，比清醒时沉醉，几乎所有艺术家都表达过对于想象力的推崇，小波说人光拥有此生此世是不够的，他还应该拥有一个诗意的世界。对于这部电影的主人公是一个贴切的注脚，电影中所出现的一个个超现实的场景，让人惊叹于导演高超的想象力，这样的画面要不是心存童趣的人是无法展现的，让人回忆起曾经看过的一堆捷克超现实主义动画大师们的杰作，象史云梅耶等的作品依旧历历在目，史蒂芬在他的梦境中将他的刮胡刀变成了一只机械甲虫，爬到他老板身上瞬间将他老板变成了一个象《劳拉快跑》当中那个留着长胡子的经典流浪汉形象，从窗口一跃而下，推着垃圾车走了。而片中最令人赏心悦目同时天马行空的是影片结尾，史蒂芬和史蒂芬妮两人骑着布马在草地上奔腾，最后骑着马上了白船，一起驶向远方，在这个超现实的梦境中，这一艘爱情小船又要驶向何处呢？

爱情是永远的救赎港湾，在《夜宴》的残酷的宫廷政治争斗中它是青女的一句“就算全世界都抛弃他，我不会，爱情不会。”在《无极》的诡异而无法逃脱的世界中，它是昆仑背起倾城飞向红日的明亮出口，爱情让独身者不再孤独，而为恶者放下屠刀，让卑琐者勇猛强悍，这一道济世良方在现实世界中被不断败坏却在电影的世界中仍旧充当着微弱的希望与光芒。尽管哈姆雷特在面对奥菲丽亚的时候同样进退两难在面对强大的国家机器意识形态的时候，它往往成了微末的献祭的牺牲品。而在这个沉默而平凡的生命里，爱情的救赎力量已经足够强大了，只不过是睡前的一只手的温暖。

在笛卡尔之后，自然只是广延的物质，人只是思想的物质，面对人间的罪恶，自然无为，苍天无为，面对转瞬即逝的生命，这平庸而苦难的生活让我们急切得寻找出口，我们不得不从我们内部去创造一点生存的价值，一种想象的逻辑，一种爱的逻辑空前强大同时也是空前的虚弱，这是一部神奇而特别的电影，带有的法国电影独特的浪漫气质，高度的风格化之下，一个奇幻的爱情故事，似乎是在告诉我们，在这个波谲云诡的世界里，意淫爱情，也需要超常的想象力。
