Review 1: Christmas Wedding Date movie Ratings out of 10:Scifi 1 entertainment 1 likeable/believable characters 1

Synopsis – A successful single woman in her late 20's loses her job in New York just before Christmas and returns to her rural home town on December 23rd to spend Christmas Eve with her single mum intendeing to return to NY on Chrustmas Day. She gets stuck in a time loop and keeps repeating Christmas Eve until she 'changes' something about herself.

Comments: The scifi implausability was ridiculous as there was no explanation or justification for only her being stuck in this time loop, just a pseudo-God-like man to occasionally step in to 'advise'.

It was not possible to associate with the woman as she started the movie by being miserable, unnecessarily nasty and aggressive towards everyone with her entire script. She was unattractive and yet we were being asked to believe that a handsome ex-boyfriend (Chad) from her high school days still loved her after ten years (and other relationships inbetween) and could tolerate her nastiness.

Once she realised she was stuck in the time loop, she abused the situation and did numerous crazy and pointless things, knowing it would all start again the next day and nobody would remember it. Ridiculous! The most absurd was her decision to learn to iceskate and take advantage of the multiple loops to get free ice skating lessons! Gave up watching at that point after the hundredth loop. I really did not care whether she ever got out of the loop by actually changing suddenly to be nice to people, in particular Chad, to break out of the loop.
